“How much will going blonde cost?” is exactly the question clients should ask. The honest answer is that blonde is not one service or one price. Your starting colour, colour history, hair length, density, target shade and the condition of your hair all affect the route.
At Fergal Doyle Hair, the headline lightening price covers the lightening service. Toner, treatments and finishing are charged separately unless a package specifically says otherwise. We separate them so you can see what you are paying for, then confirm the complete appointment before you book.
Current blonde guide prices
- Half-head foils: £108–£168
- Full-head foils: £134–£208
- Half-head balayage: £160–£248
- Full-head balayage: £192–£296
- Blonde toner: £36–£56
- Wellaplex Bond Builder: £40–£64
- Long blow-dry: £38–£58
What a complete blonde appointment can cost
For realistic planning, these combinations use our current published stylist ranges:
- Half-head highlights + toner + blow-dry: £176–£282
- Full balayage + toner + Wellaplex + long blow-dry: £306–£474
- Transformational blonde + toner + Wellaplex + long blow-dry: £364–£568
These are planning examples, not fixed quotes or guaranteed maximums. Longer, denser hair or corrective work can require more time and product.
What affects the price?
Your starting point
Virgin hair, old highlights, permanent dark colour and box dye all lift differently. Previous colour can mean extra testing, correction or more than one visit.
The amount of lightness
A soft face frame is a different appointment from an all-over bright blonde. Cooler and brighter targets usually involve more lightening and toning.
Hair length, density and condition
More hair usually means more product and time. Hair condition also shapes how quickly it is sensible to lighten.
The complete finish
Toner refines the shade, a bond-building treatment supports the hair during lightening, and a cut or blow-dry completes the appointment. These are important parts of many blonde plans, but they are not silently bundled into every headline colour price.
How to get the best value
Start with a consultation, be completely honest about previous colour and discuss how often you want to return. A staged, lower-maintenance blonde can be a better investment than chasing an unrealistic result in one sitting.
Blue Light discount
We offer 10% Blue Light Card discount on Tuesdays. Mention your card when booking and bring valid proof to your appointment.
